Disciples Men

Purpose of Disciples Men is gathering all the men of the church together providing an opportunity for a deeper understanding of Christ's love and salvation for ourselves showing our love for him in the same manner also.  Reaching out to others with missions to our church, the local community and to church world service.

You are a Disciple Man in our church, the Disciples of Christ, through our faith, dedication and hard work. We serve as an instrument of God's peace in our lives and in the lives of our church family.

Meeting time is the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall for dinner, short meeting with devotions, prayer and program.

Ministries:

Festival of Sharing:  Missouri ecumenical church wide service during October at the State Fair Grounds in Sedalia, MO.

The Heifer Project:  Our support provides animals to specific countries enabling people to enhance their way of life with income from sales of milk and cheese.  The family passes the off spring to their neighbors so they may improve their as well.

Christmas Is Sharing:  Giving love and warmth to needy families provided to us by the Child Advocacy Council.

Global Ministries:  Working with Global Ministries Child Sponsorship Program made possible through the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Disciple Mission Fund and Week of Compassion and the United Church of Christ One Great Hour of Sharing, we have an ongoing program of adopting a young boy until he reaches 18 years of age. We support a child at the Family Village Farm in Kadpadi, India.  Through mothers and co-workers we add our support.
